Luke 8:43-48 ‘A Woman with the Issue of Blood’ A woman had suffered blood loss for 12 years, she was physically and mentally exhausted, and had used all her money on treatments. Isolated from her family and society she may have been left by her husband, probably barren, which was such a stigma for a woman. The woman was considered unclean, untouchable, unholy. Jewish men would avoid being near her or even seeing her; she was rejected and needy in every way. We don’t even know her name. One day she heard Jesus was in her area and she just knew the first steps to healing were to get her weak and desperate self into His presence. Bravely she sought Him and she wasn’t concerned about the crowd.
